Our many years of
experience of handling Explosive K-9 and managing Explosive K-9 Teams in
hostile environments has created an edge on most of our competitors. With this
edge we instruct to our students how to work their Explosive Detection K-9s in
an explosive enriched environment and survive. Staff members hand selects our
K-9s that are going into our Explosive Detector Dog Program. This select test
is equivalent to that of Department of Defenses Explosive Dog Program.
All K-9s are pre-scented and conditioned to odor recognition prior to
handlers arrival at our site. Our Explosive Detector Dogs are then
matched up with a suitable handler and both handler and K-9 then complete the
remainder of the teams training. The conditioning of the Explosive
Detector Dog Team is conducted throughout Wilmington and we condition the
Explosive Detector Dog Team in the environments that they will have to work in
when they return to duty at their department.
Course will include and
is not limited to: Training for realistic and job
applicable scenarios Familiarity and safe handling procedures Knowledge of basic IED and booby trap concept and design
